We offer guests full refunds for cancellations made at least 48 hours (2 days) before their scheduled workshop. If a guest needs to cancel within 48 hours (2 days) of their booked class or does not make it to their class, a refund will not be issued. Guests are allowed to reschedule their reservations one time if needed.

We recommend arriving 10 minutes before your scheduled booking. We understand that traffic and parking can be difficult in the Chicago area, so allow enough time for parking. We cannot accept guests into the class who are more than 10 minutes late. This is to ensure the best experience for everyone. If you are running late, we recommend rescheduling for another time or date. You can reschedule your class at any time if you need to.

At this time, reservations are strongly recommended due to a limited number of seats available in each class session. We recommend booking in advance as our classes can book up quickly and we can not guarantee space for walk-ins.

Our candles are made with a proprietary blend of soy and coconut wax and phthalate free fragrance oils. Our oils are FDA approved, cruelty free, and skin safe. 

Yes — we offer a large variety of fragrances for guests to choose from for their candles. Our fragrances are changed periodically to ensure there is always something new to entice your senses. If you’d like your candle without fragrance, that’s entirely up to you. It’s your creation!

The class is $55 per person. The price includes all the materials needed for the class, the vessel and fragrance of your choice, a step-by-step class on how to make your candle, and your finished candle to take home! 

At check-in we will ask you for a form of ID that matches your reservation name. In this case a valid form of ID would be a drivers license, credit card, student ID, or passport.  

Class sizes often vary depending on how many spots are booked. They can be as large as 18 people or as small as 1 person. The class lasts about 45 minutes to an hour, and the candles take another 45 minutes to set enough for guests to take them home. Guests are more than welcome to wait those 45 minutes for their candles or come back on another day to pick them up. We hold your candles for up to 30 days, with a courtesy reminder call.

Unfortunately, due to limited space on tables and not enough time in class, we do not allow food or drink during the experience. The only exception would be if you book a private event. Private events are BYOB and guests are more than welcome to bring food and beverage of their choosing. We provide serveware, silverware, dinnerware, and drinkware.

The maximum class capacity is 18 people. There is no minimum requirement to book a class.

We are currently only hosting events in our physical business location. For private event inquiries, email info@candlecastleco.com. 

No worries, we hold your candles for up to 30 days if you can’t make it back to pick up your candle. After 21 days, we will give you a courtesy phone call or email you to remind you we still have your candle for pick up. Please make sure to check out our business hours prior to coming to pickup your candle.

Of course! We love when customers return and want to recycle their vessels. If you reuse a vessel from a previous class, you will receive 20% off another class. We can also refill the candle for you with any fragrance of your choosing — for $24. We will contact you once we have refilled your vessels so you can come back to pick it up.

We are cashless; we accept credit cards, debit cards, PayPal, and Apple Pay. We strongly recommend booking online in advance to secure your spot. 

Our candles are three-wick candles and hold 12 ounces of wax. Their burn time is approximately 60 hours.

For everyone’s safety, we recommend ages 10 and up for our workshops. All participants under the age of 18 will need a parent/guardian signature.
